Tehembrin Merlot 2008

Released only when our parcel of Merlot is exceptionally good. A velvety soft pallet showing rich plum and berry tones, its rich smoothness often described as "chocolatey". This will take medals, but don't hide it away forever - drink it now! If you have ever wanted a red you can serve with chocolate – this is it! We are so delighted with this little dazzler! Rose' is fresh and flavoursome & we were so impressed with the Merlot we picked in 09, we felt the flavours needed to be displayed in a rose'. It won't disappoint, and has already won medals. A must to taste the watermelon and apple characters. Yum!!!

 The 2008 Black Shiraz from the RJH Range is so good we have put my father and founder of MTW's name to it, Roger John Hart and he would have loved this one! The 2008 Black Shiraz has everything a cooler climate Shiraz should have - great rich berry fruit, richly dark almost black colour and the most important characteristic - cracked black pepper! Not for the faint of Hart - but fabulous with Chef Gus' Pork Loin in MTW's own Apple ginger & Port jam!! The 08 Black Shiraz is no longer on tasting and is on limited release, it has taken two national Bronze Medals.
